Location: Online. Due to the ongoing public health situation, most appointments will be online using Skype or Zoom. This means you can enjoy the hypnotherapy session in the comfort of your own home. Many prefer this and it allows for change to happen right where you live, thus removing the problem of generalising change from a clinic session. You will need a headset or headphones to hear me and a camera so I can see you to monitor feedback. I will send details when you contact me. Thanks to Zoom, I can also easily record the important part of key hypnosis sessions so you can revisit and boost your gains even more.
Important: Hypnosis is an entirely natural state and phenomenon that enhances your self-control. You will recall all that is useful to you from the session; you cannot be coerced against your will; and you cannot get 'stuck' in a trance. These myths and concerns will be addressed during consultation.
Session Length, Fees, and Hypnotherapy Model
All Fees are 100 euro. Your hypnotherapist will determine the best intervention model below for your issue.
Sessions operate on the standard 50-minute-hour model (50 minutes, then a few minutes closure to prepare for the next client).

Hypnotic Suggestion Therapy
This is a goal directed approach aimed at transforming negative habits and behaviours, such as smoking, nail biting, etc. Your therapist will indicate which intervention method is best suited for your issue. Fees are 100 euro per hour session, with three to four sessions being recommended. The first session is 2 hours. The extra sessions help to address issues such as cravings, psychological conflict in making the necessary changes, and other obstacles to behaviour change. Two sessions is usually enough for most habit and behaviour change issues.
In short, hypnotic suggestion therapy is very goal-directed and seeks a specific outcome.
Phenomenal Hypnotherapy and Phenomenal Coaching
This is a brief, yet deep, approach, typically lasting for 6 sessions. It is the recommended approach for long-standing issues or difficulties, such as depression and trauma, or for clarification of purpose and meaning. The first session is also 2 hours to gather information. As a result, significant benefits can be had in as little as 7 hours of investment.
For the purpose of insight and continuous development of personal growth some clients may wish to continue after 6 sessions. Most issues resolve after 4 to 6 sessions; further development of wellbeing and meaning is always possible as we continue to flourish, so we can always gain.
How I Help You to Achieve Your Goal
The aim is to significantly transform your psychological experience on one or several issues during our sessions so as to enhance wellbeing and functioning. These issues can relate to emotional experience (issues of self); relationship issues (issues of others); and meaning-based issues, such as career and purpose (issues of the world). In philosophical and psychological terms, this means moving toward a state that is 'Eudaimon'. In other words, a state that is phenomenal for you.
Rooted in positive psychology and cognitive theory, by addressing the beliefs you SOW (Self, Others, World) you will REAP the benefits of better Relationships, more positive Emotion, greater Achievement, and more Purpose and meaning in life.
This unique model is a cognitive restructuring of positive psychology's PERMA model of well-being. It proposes that by addressing the cognitive roots of one's philosophy of living (in relation to one's beliefs about the self, others, and the world) one can cultivate the fruits of well-being (REAP), resulting in a greater sense of meaning in life. To that end, it is both positive psychological and cognitive-behavioural.

To be eudaimon means to flourish in accordance with your true self and potential; to achieve greater authenticity and self-actualisation; to become more fulfilled; to be phenomenal. These terms have specific meanings as discussed in the 'Encyclopaedia of Positive Psychology' and other academic works. Ultimately the aim is to help you reach your goal or desired outcome.
Naturally, all of our life pursuits are driven by goals. But are they wise?
WISE Goals in Phenomenal Coaching
In Phenomenal Hypnotherapy and Coaching, WISE Goals refers to an approach to goal clarification based on positive psychology and ancient philosophy.
W: Well-formed. Other goal clarification methods, such as SMART goal setting (specific, measured, etc.), is used here as the initial beginning rather than the end itself. Where other approaches stop, Phenomenal Coaching begins.
I: Intrinsic. Is the goal intrinsic to the self and under one's voluntary control to enact? Phenomenal Coaching uses a process to discover the intrinsic nature of one's goals. In essence, this is the hidden value behind one's goal pursuit.
S: Self-concordant. Based on self-determination theory and other positive psychology models, is the goal expressive of one's values and identity? Once the intrinsic goal is stated and the value clarified, are other behaviours expressive and congruent with this?
E: Ecological. Is the goal appropriate given one's embedded social relationships and the environment as a whole? If one took the ancient philosophical Stoic "view from above" position, would it be virtuous?
In short, WISE goals help to ensure that goals are well-formed, intrinsic to the self and hence under one's control, expressive of one's identity and authentic, and ultimately ecological so as to leave the world a better place. Wise goals form a key component of the cognitive underpinnings to the REAP-what-you-SOW Model of Well-Being.
Individuals interested in evoking resources to help motivate and enhance weight-loss are encouraged - but not required - to avail of the Phenomenal Hypnotherapy program, which will address many issues other than weight-loss in the course of treatment. The Phenomenal Hypnotherapy model for addressing weight-loss and self-image issues is termed The Inner Virtue Model (IVM), and is based on virtue ethical philosophy and positive psychology. Quick-fix methods are not encouraged for weight-loss.
